If you are interested in joining Chesterfield Caving Club contact the Membership Secretary. The first three trips are free, after which club membership is required (£25 which includes BCA Insurance). Novices can borrow caving equipment from the Club, although experienced cavers are expected to provide their own hardware (excluding ropes). Chesterfield Caving Club meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at the Red Lion Public House, Brimington, S43 1JG, about 2 miles from the centre of Chesterfield (for location see map below). We meet at 8.30pm in the public bar, but sometimes move into either the upstairs room or rear room thereafter (ask at the bar). Day/weekend caving trips are organised for every two to three weeks (see Trip Reports page). A few members also organise informal evening trips. Most trips are local, but national and international trips are also organised through the Club.
